Visiting hours

  • Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 17.00
  • Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10.00 to 20.00
  • Closed on Mondays (except bank holidays).
  • Closed January 1st and 6th, May 1st and December 25th.
  • The 24th and 31st of december the Museum will be open from 10.00 to 15.00
  • In August the museum is open from 10.00 to 15.00.

Rates

  • Entry: €7 
  • Reduced entry: €3.50 
  • Free entry the sundays from 17.00 to 20.00.
    • The electronic ticket system closes on Sundays at 16:30. From 17:00, free tickets will be given manually on a first-come, first-served basis until full capacity is reached. The Museum will be open until 20.00.
    • This type of entry will be only provided in person. It won't be available online.
    • This type of entry won't be available in August because the oppening hours are reduced

 

Reduced entry: €3.50

  • Students.
  • Unemployed.
  • Kids from 4 to 16 years.

 

Free MNCN official entries (until complete capacity):

  • MNCN staff (only available in the Museum ticket office).
  • CSIC staff (only available in the Museum ticket office).
  • Members of the Society of Friends of the Museum (SAM) and members of the Spanish Federation of Friends of Museums (FEAM) (only available in the Museum ticket office).
  • Monoparental families.
  • Large families.
  • People under 4 years.
  • People above 65 years.
  • People with a certificate of disability. This ticket includes one accompanying person. People with certified reduced mobility and with an accredited vehicle may access and park in the spaces provided in the Museum parking. All other persons without an accredited vehicle may enter the car park to facilitate their access to the Museum, notifying us via the intercom at the entrance, but may not leave their vehicle parked inside the parking.

Terms and conditions

  • You can't access the Museum before the time that the purchased online ticket says.
  • You should buy the ticket online. if you prefer to buy at the ticket office, you should use credit card.
  • One the ticket is purchased, we don't accept changes or refunds.
  • Discounts and free entries are not cumulative. You can only present one identity card.
  • The ticket office will be open until 30 minutes before the Museum closes.
  • People under 14 years can't access the Museum without an adult.
  • People between 14 and 17 years can access the Museum without an adult only if they have an authorization signed by their parents or legal tutors.
  • You cant access the Museum with scooters, skateboards, folding bicycles or similar, suitcases or backpacks.
  • It is allowed to draw in a notebook in the MNCN rooms without interrupt the visit of other people. In the information service there are available portable chairs to this activity (subject to availability)
